1. Overview

At In The Morning Ltd, we produce high-quality custom printed and embroidered clothing. Every item is created specifically for you, using the design, artwork, colours, and specifications you provide.

Because of this, our returns policy differentiates between:

  • Customised (personalised) products
  • Plain (non-customised) products

This policy explains when you can return items, how to request a return, and what conditions may apply.

2. Customised Items (Printed / Embroidered / Personalised)

2.1 No Returns for Customised Items – Change of Mind

Under UK consumer law, customised or personalised items are exempt from standard “change of mind” returns, including the 14-day cooling-off period.

We cannot accept returns of customised items for reasons such as:

  • Choosing the wrong size
  • Changing your mind about the design
  • Colour differences between screens and physical garments
  • Disliking fit, placement, style, or finishing once produced
  • Uploading low-quality artwork and being unhappy with the result

Please ensure you check all design details, size guides, and colour charts before placing your order.

2.2 When Customised Items Can Be Returned

We will accept returns for customised items only if:

  • The product is faulty, or
  • We made an error (wrong garment, incorrect print, wrong colour, or incorrect placement)

If you believe your item is faulty, you must:

  1. Notify us within 7 days of delivery
  2. Provide your order number
  3. Include clear photos of the item, the issue, and the label (if applicable)

2.3 Inspection and Outcome

If the item is confirmed to be faulty or incorrect, we will offer:

  • A replacement
  • A refund
  • Store credit, if preferred

2.4 Return Shipping Costs

If the item is confirmed to be faulty or incorrect, we will cover the return shipping cost or provide a prepaid return label. If no fault is found, the item will be returned to you at your expense.

3. Plain (Non-Customised) Items

3.1 Standard Returns (Change of Mind)

Plain items may be returned within 14 days of delivery if they are:

  • Unused
  • In original packaging
  • With all labels and tags attached

You are responsible for the cost of returning plain items.

3.2 Refunds for Plain Items

Once received and inspected, refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7 working days.

4. Proofs, Artwork & Customer Responsibility

You are responsible for checking and approving artwork proofs. Approved proofs with errors cannot be returned.

Low-quality artwork supplied by the customer cannot be grounds for return if production proceeds.

Minor colour, size, or placement variations are normal industry tolerances and not considered faults.

5. How to Request a Return

To initiate a return, please email us with:

  • Your full name
  • Order number
  • The item(s) you wish to return
  • Reason for return
  • Photos (if reporting a fault)

We aim to respond within 2 working days.

6. Refund Timeframes

Approved refunds are processed within 7 working days. Bank processing times may vary.

7. Exchanges

Customised items cannot be exchanged unless faulty. Plain item exchanges are subject to availability and return shipping costs.

8. Your Legal Rights

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

The version of this policy displayed on our website at the time you place your order will apply.
